Resolve #3364776 "Fixes to new css"

James Shields requested to merge issue/project_browser-3364776:3364776-fixes-to-new-css into 1.0.x

This change contains minimal fixes to make Project Browser more consistent with theme, and to remove styles that cause problems for dark mode themes, such as hard coded background colours.

The aim is not to make it look perfect in all themes, just to try to avoid problems like light coloured text on a white background. Also tries to use core classes where possible to make appearance more consistent with theme.
